Acropolis Museum girds for battle over Marbles

The New Acropolis Museum in Athens is nearing completion and is being
prepared for opening later in the year.
The building has been designed to house what the British call the Elgin Marbles...more than
fifty percent of the frieze from the Parthenon which have been in
London since the early 19th Century.
The new Museum is going to open with copies of the Elgin Marbles
placed next to the genuine treasures and it will put pressure on the
British Museum in London to return them to Greece.
Malcolm Brabant has been given a preview of the new building....

@tigerwa Turks are not an ethnic group, they are a nationality compromised of different ethnic groups. And Turkey belonged to Ancient Greece for 1700 years (far longer than the Ottomon period) so it is more likely that Turks have Ancient Greek blood then vice versa. Another point, Greeks have managed to preserve their language, their names, their culture and religion for thousands of year.
