  • @Knight192

    it´s a little bit more fascinating that that but your´re funny, really.

  • nice

  • Thank you for this. It is SO RARE for someone to see a well-edited clip on youtube. In fact, I've only seen two. Search for "Renfield" to see the other.

    One suggestion/point: you did not include in your montage the "hat" in the movie: Verna! There's nothing more foolish than a man chasing after Verna, yet that's what Tom and Leo spend the whole movie doing/trying not to do. The hat is a metaphor.

  • @ACBurgdorf I can't believe you missed the hats. Dreams in movies ALWAYS MEAN SOMETHING.

  • Fantastic movie, possibly my favourite ever. "All and all not a bad guy if looks, brains and personality don't count". One of the most perfect screenplays ever filmed.

  • A couple of my favorite lines from the movie;

    The Dane to Tom; "Mr Inside-Outsky just like some godamned Bolshevik picking up his orders from Yegg Central."

    The Dane to Tic-Tac; "Shut up!! Or maybe you got too many teeth left.

    A great cerebral movie, one of the best I have seen.

  • 1:38 is only about the coolest thing i have ever seen in movies period

  • Wow, I had never even realized this point.

    I did an analysis of the film a long long time ago talking about Tom as a self sacrificing "christ" figure and how it was constantly pointed out with the phrase "Jesus, Tom"

    Now I am going to have to watch the movie again and pay attention to the hats!

  • Caspar is one of the most "honest" characters in the film. He hates "double crossers" and kills the Dane becuase he thinks he's not being honest with him. Tom, ironically, the protagonist, is the least "honest" of everyone. The be-hatted hero hiding and shifting his allegiances constantly. Love the film!

  • omigod another theory bubble burst! but doesnt he have a comb over?
