  • Where's the Tamworth Folk Club???

  • very nice!!

  • 4096quagmire Wow, I posted that so long ago! Yeah, I'm a lot better at it now, I can do the embellishments a bit, though it's been a long hard fight. :)

FWIW, cuts, rolls, trills, etc are actually called "Ornaments", rather than "Embellisments".

  • Thats a lovely set of tunes. What do you call the reel that you play after the air? U play the air beautifully.

  • when you play imagen the most happest thing in your life or was in your life, but with some irish tunes you have to imagen the saddest moments cause some of there songs can be quite depressing

  • Sure about? Where do you live? I live in Genoa, and this is not that celtic city, but I found out there are 10 or 11 irish musicians xD the hard thing is to find them..Do you know Filippo Gambetta? He is a stunning musician

I know that whistle is a different thing from a recorder, because I play it too. It really annoys me when my friends think they are the same!

I wish I could go to sessions but there aren't any near where I live, unfortunately.

  • @4096quagmire Ya! I've been playing chopin till last year... i kept playing chopin, but I also picked up a whistle and an accordion and now I'm gettin fum.. But first I had to listen to many tunes, learn the style, get into, then I had to learn the irish embellishments for whistle, different thing from a recorder, that I was able to play... Now I've played some sessions with very good guys which are teaching me some tunes and how to play em well and I'm enjoyin

  • Great job!

We first heard this Ireland in 2002.
