@grendelson5 & @SuperAwesomeTiago While both games are great in their own regard, I will say this. The stages in Unleashed, the Daytime ones anyway, were focused mostly on pure speed and graphical polish, while Generations focused more on a balance between running and platforming, giving Generations an overall better stage design in most of its levels (I HATE Planet Wisp). They both have a number of different paths, but SU's separate paths were still linear due to it's own stage design.
-
@grendelson5 You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.Unleashed's levels look like racetracks.No,they ARE racetracks where you holding forward and occasionally in very rare situations press jump.Generations' level design is miles miles better than Unleashed.The levels there actually look like levels,and have a lot of details put into them.If you ever say Seaside Hill is linear,I'm going to have a fucking heart attack.
-
It's clear that I'm talking to someone who's never played Unleashed. Are you seriously suggesting that Chemical Plant with its whopping 2 paths is less linear than Skyscraper Scamper which has 7 possible paths (off the top of my head)? Or Sky Sanctuary with all 3 of its paths? Generations lacked heavily in level design. Hell, your only argument is "hurr, it looks pretty." I played the hell outta Gen before this and loved Unleashed way more.
-
@grendelson5 Okay,now you're either trolling or just fucking retarded.Generations is MUCH BETTER designed than this piece of crap game.Sorry,I will take the pipes at the start of Chemical Plant,the open park in City Escape,the helicopter in Speed Highway and the entirety of Sky Sanctuary,Crisis City and Seaside Hill over a straight line to the end.
-
Except for Speed Highway. That stage was perfect.
-
Sonic Generations is linear as fuck, bro. I love Generations, but Unleashed had better stage design. Try comparing any modern stage in Generations to Skyscraper Scamper, Dragon Road, or Arid Sands. Hell, even use Rooftop Run. RR was much less linear, longer, and more challenging than any modern Generations stage, including Rooftop Run.
-
@yorknuckles The Generations level design is much better than this.And if you think that Sky Sanctuary and Seaside Hill,beautifully constructed worlds are not as good as a straight line to the end with nothing for you to do besides holding the boost button,then please,get off this fanabse.We won't miss you.
@EduFanaia
Seaside hill is from Sonic Heroes

I've been thinking (even if it is only a game) have SEGA thinked how NORMAL people could get to different places if their village is like that? :'D
