Recorded at the 2009 USGS Open House, David Croker of the Earthquake Hazards Team talks with Science4Grownups about an upcoming program that will deploy seismographs to qualified homes in the San Francisco Bay Area. The NetQuakes seismograph project, modeled on Netflix, will leverage off-the-shelf technology and Internet connectivity with the goal of providing the USGS saturation coverage of the entire region.
