Eva is a ~5mo GSD puppy that is boarding with a friend of mine over the holidays.
She's a GREAT little dog. Super sweet, loves to play, great worker.
However, there seems to be something amiss in her gait. She also is the laziest player -- lays down well before she's tired, seemingly more comfortable laying than standing.
I might try to get some more footage this coming week.
She is so adorable!

I wouldnt say there's anything about this pup that screams hip dysplasia...but you can tell its more in the individual bones themselves. She's tremendously long hocked and long in the pasterns. Her front end looks very stiff and she appears to be flinging limbs out to the sides when she moves.
You can see how disproportionate her limbs.

May I add it's also very common in shepherd puppies. n_n

My pup walked like that, but to a higher extreme. We were really worried he would have something like hip dysplasia, it got to the point where his legs were so stiff he couldn't walk. He was diagnosed with Pano, which is where they grow too fast and experience sharp muscle pains and stiffness . It's nothing too serious, they grow out of it eventually and it won't cause any damage. My pup has to take daily Glucosamine to lubricate the bones, and he walks fine now.

She walks a lot like Kai. Dysplasia with maybe some back or shoulder issues.
