I have a mazda6 2006 (with no nav and standard CD player) Do you know if its meant to? (saw it didnt on your 3)

@mynameisroberta This unit dose not... You will want the Dice unit for Text... with the Dice you are unable to control it from the iPod... that is why i went with the Xcarlink.

I purchased one and installed it myself with the help of your video.

My iPod Nano works perfectly, but once I plug in my iPhone 3G there is a message on the iPhone stating "this accessory is not compatible with the iPhone" and there is a loud background hissing sound when the iPhone is plugged it. It still plays songs on the iPhone, but the hissing is always in the background. Have you experienced this?

I have noticed a tiny hiss when music is not playing, but other than that no.

@mricu1 i hade similiar issue, but with using 3.5mm audio cable + charger, ended up buying ground loop isolator 3.5mm
