id love to have one but my dad says i have to wait till i move out -__-

@UFCGoldZone i dont speak from experince (yet lol) but having seen others get pinched im betting 1 being not very painful and 10 being painful as @%$# i think a 5 or 6. getting stung on the other hand is said to be like being not jabbed with a needle but have it on you and forced in :O so..thats a good 8..maybe 8 and a half
-
It's pretty funny to me that when you first put your right hand in front of your left, the scorpion was just like "Fuck you, I'm not moving." XD

@SPS148669 Emperor Scorpions Are Venomous But Its Not Bad At All Humans Don't Really Get Affected By The Venom Unless They Are Allergic...It Just Hurts Like Hell...
-
WHY IS THERE NO TOP COMMENT?!
-
@SPS148669 They need their venom
-
Nice animal. He looks great!

@ReptileMan27 Okay! That's good to hear! I've kept Savannah Monitors as well as Tegus, and they were both pretty tricky!
I find the P.imperator very fascinating, and I've longed to keep one!
Thank you
-
@SgtDeepshit MUCH easier compared to a Sav monitor. As far as a Tarantula.. Both very easy to care for..
-
@ReptileMan27 Okay, that sounds legit!
Are they easy to keep compared to lets say a Savannah Monitor or a Tarantula?
-
@SgtDeepshit Yes emperors, as well as all scorpions are venomous. However the venom on P. imperator is not considered dangerous to people.. Their venom is used generally just for defense. They catch/kill prey with large powerful pincers.. However even though they considered "harmless" to people it's important to remember everyone can react differently to their venom.. If allergic to bee's a sting could be worse etc..

I have a history in keeping reptiles and such, I've also handled some scolopendra giganteas, and afterwards I regret even taking the risk of doing that! My question is though, is a Emperor scorpion venomous? It should be, but is it enough to harm a human being?
Otherwise I'd really like to keep one!

On a scale of 1-10 how much does it hurt when it pinches you?
-
they dont sting u at all, i would imagine them being scared as hell
-
I always put the one I had on my shoulder, while at hastings the people would be just looking at me like if I were some freak xDD I miss him :/ I loved the little guy
-
UMADBRO?
-
I handle mine twice but i dont do it often
-
@warhols25 no bite its a pinch and stinging only happens if you corner it or grab by the tail
-
@ReptileMan27 you think it will pinch me or bite me?
-
@denisg123 I wouldn't recommend it.
-
can i put it on my shoulder or no?
Do they remove the poison gland for it to be held like that?

hey man , great vid! do u have any tip for me, i killed my last scorpion unknowingly, cus the themp was to low and sprayd to much water into his cage... Im sad about it and i rly wanna start with a new . I got a better Terarium now, and a better breeder but i wanna know how u ceep the heat and atmosfer right,,

@Kottekungen Their are couple ways can heat it.. A simple light on top of cage.. Would go with a infared or other nocturnal bulb.. The wattage depends on size of cage and temps where the cage is.
