I saw an interveiw with Mr Dyson, who turned around and said when he started if he needed part XXX of YYY he just called up a company in Derby or Glasgow or some where else in the UK.

Now he has no option as no one in the UK can produce the parts so he has to go abroad ((China surprise surprise)) for them.
