  • Please provide me with 3 bill's produced in the house or the senate that was purely for the benefit of the average middle class American written by a Republican in the last 20 years?

  • @Godspork "The corporations that received special privileges (bailouts etc.) gave more money to Dems than Reps.." Depends what you mean by "more." Aside from Big Oil and Hedge funds they're pretty even. 2008 contributions to Congress (OpenSecrets) Banks: Dem 13.8 mil GOP 14.5 mil Hedge funds: Dem 5.2 GOP 2.3 Insurance: Dem 17.3 GOP 18.1 Pharma: Dem 11.6 GOP 10.3 Big Oil: Dem 5.7 million GOP 17.2 million

  • According to Judicial theory that failure to answer the question, or answer in a way unrelated to the question, gives a right to determine the results that can be detrimental to the person being questioned, a bias. Example, a suspect being questioned about a robbery answers "I didn't do it on Tuesday" is not an answer, and answered some unspoken question, we start to find guilt to the detriment of the suspect. The problem is to claim the Fifth Amendment means no testimony, otherwise, answer.

  • @gamoonbat Well I guess we just disagree.

  • @MrGrevy - I thought Elena answered more questions than she needed to. She does come from the East Coast intellectual world. It was her humor that carried her through to confirmation. I was probably thinking of conservative Republicans such as John Roberts when I wrote the above. He was by far the least communicative of all nominees when he sailed through confirmation. I was very proud of Barack Obama and other liberal Senators for voting against him and trying to press for clear answers.

  • @gamoonbat Mainstream? Like this troll Kagan? Yeah she's really middle america all right! Are you delusional or what?

  • VOTE NO...WE DO NOT NEED KAGAN ON THE SUPREME COURT!!!

  • @bigdogphoto - Coburn is part of the The Family on C Street, their secrecy is more concern to me and their very existence, than the questions Coburn is asking of Kagan, Coburn needs to be investigated.

  • Why won't Coburn answer questions about his "C Street" involvement?

  • @nuumskee

    You asked. Here ya go:

    '94 Congress' Contract with America

    * Balanced budget

    * Eliminated "marriage penalty" in tax code * Bush tax cuts spurred economic growth and created 3 million net jobs

Cuts help mid- class move up the economic ladder

To PREEMPT your typical talking pts response, there's plenty here on YouTube of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd saying there's nothing wrong with Fannie and encouraging banks to loan to those who can't afford - leading to housing mess

  • She looks like a constipated Kermit the Frog- sounds like him too.

  • The ability of government to force us to buy health insurance is no different than Congress telling us what we have to eat.

Why could she not answer this simple question?

Why does she support a law that would allow the possiblity of banning of books?

When will these tyrants shut down or censor/limit internet content?

What limits the power of these tyrannical "public servants"?

Way to flush out another liberty robbing radical progressive Sen. Coburn!
