freshwater gear - about 300$ for pole, tackle, and reel.
Saltwater gear - about 1500$ for the pole alone

Yeah i still love fresh water fishing. its good coz u can just decide to do it on the spoit whereas deep sea fishing takes more organising and things.

i just fished my first competition today. did ok, got 5th place out of 15 and won 68$ :)

ya cool video but all this equipment and latest technology to go fish 2 small fishes that are released afterwards a bit ridiculous to my eyes.

Deep see fishing is more fun I beleive....
