B-52 is one of the most reliable aircraft in today's Air Force inventory. First flight back in 1952 and over 50 years later; the BUFF carries the deadliest punch anytime, anywhere.

  • is the b-52 still flying missions today? or did it get most of it's action during the first couple years in the middle east?

  • @k3v015Mk Yes; still flying and very capable. This plane has been upgraded to the latest technology and it is continiously modified in order to keep up with the technology ahead.

  • why the fighter plane try to destroy the B52? is a training mission?

  • @discovery110 ; yes it was a training mission.

  • Best video ever!!!

  • I was a pilot and loved the aircraft. Just don't ask me after a 12 hour flight. We had a 2 1/2 show time a 12 hour flight, some longer many shorter, then a 2 hour maintenance debrief, crew debrief and of course the paperwork. It made for a long day or night.

  • @ted3020 Roger that Ted ! Were you a pilot then? Or on the offense team? Three teams right?....Pilots, offense, defense. Which are you?

  • @craigergarten damn straight

  • Yes the Canadians shot us down. We were limited to 3,000 feet straight and level. In the clear air you could visually see one over 30 miles away. Let us get low at night and see what happens. 4,500 hours B-52 F,G,H.

  • is it just me that gets chills lookin at this monster =P

  • Could you please include tail numbers? There are a LOT of Crew-dogs out here who would like to see their old aircaft.

  • No, he said they LOOKED like A-10s.....when actually they were F-16's. Bomber survived long enough for escorts to do their job. I got to ride along on my bomber once when we "invaded" Canada. Canadians shot us down...we never knew it until we heard about it later.

  • @k3v015Mk This plane dropped most of it's payload in Viet Nam war, yet never dropped it's deadliest load while circling the fail safe zone during the cold war of the 1950s, for which it was designed.

  • I'm flying a DA20 in civilian training. I really wish I would have done rotc to fly military.

  • Boeing....Legend.....
