WJLA Channel 7 coverage of dorms at UDC. The nation's capital's only public university - and the only urban land grant university in the United States, is, for the first time, creating student residences on campus. UDC is leasing a portion of building across the street from its Van Ness campus, housing about 90 students. But it's just a first step toward creating residence halls on campus. Plans are in the works to build two 300-bed dorms on campus to give UDC students the "live-away" college experience. It's all part of Dr. Allen Sessoms' vision to making UDC into a great example of higher education.
Do student pay more or less than the current residents? Is their housing subsidized by UDC? Are there any good clubs nearby or does one need to clambor into the hooptie and carry on to Adams Morgan?
