He has been a member of the Dutch Parliament since 1998, first for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and, from 2006 on, with the Party for Freedom (PVV). Wilders is best known for his criticism of Islam and his statements on banning the Holy Book of Islam, the Quran.

I'm Dutch and I can't say I agree with everything he says, (most of the time I don't)

but I think 'freedom of speech' is very important. He should not have been banned from the UK..

And at least he has enough 'courage' to say what he thinks...most politicians in Holland are cowards, except for Pechtold, Halsema (with whom I agree most of the time) and Wilders.
