A special 2 minute advert showing the true symptoms of a heart attack. First broadcast on Sunday 10th August 9.17pm (during 'Midsummer Murders').
This one-off advertisement was preceeded by a series shorter adverts on TV, Radio etc. the week before, showing many celebrities telling the public: "I'll be watching".
The British Heart Foundation claims that it is the 'most important 2 minutes of TV you'll ever see".

  • Am I the only person that thought it was rather shit ?

  • maybe it was hyped up so much that it was an underwhelming advert, a shorter version as a regular advert may have had more appeal, but at the end of the day they had to build interest for people to take notice of it, and it probably will save lives.

  • actually having just watched it again, i think that it would have been more unique and scary if they didn't put words up at the end, and had just maybe shown a single url, it kind of makes it seem a bit normal.

  • Congrats for getting up it here so fast - what setup do you have?

This has really made me think - more excercise, loose weight, cut more salt and sugar out of my diet etc. Worthwhile...

  • if you have tv with media centre on your pc, you just record it, convert/edit it with movie maker, and upload it.

  • The point is that one day you'll be walking along, minding you own business, and these symptoms will start, with no warning whatsoever. You are 2 minutes from death at this point. It happened to me almost 7 years ago, I was 42 at the time. Old? Well, yes to a 19 yr old, but just a pup to a 65 yr old.

    Look, listen, learn people.

  • Great advert!! I really do think it got the point across. A lot of olds dont want a fuss but this will promt them to take action.

  • So, we've got chest pains or tightness, arm pains or tightness, neck/jaw pains or tightness, vomiting, probably something else that hasn't even been noted here... dear sweet Christ, this is all _terrifying_ to think about.

  • He reminds me of Hannibal Lecter.

  • Good ad

  • Good as

  • We lost our Dad 29/01/11 due to a heart attack, little did we know he had heart disease, when he suffered his heart attack the left side of the muscle in his heart got completely damaged, and unfortunately as we know, dead heart muscle can't fully repair, after 8 days, my dad passed with us all by his side.

Please Help my sister raise money for The British Heart Foundation! and buy a hand made teddy! Please help BHF! Please.

  • This video saved my friend's life. He was having chest pains he dismissed at first as indigestion. After watching this video he called 9-1-1. He was having a heart attack, but it was caught early and he's going to be fine. Thank you for posting this!

  • awesome video, seems a shame really to have only had 16,830 views.

  • these heart attack videos scare me to death! i thought i had 1 before but it was just a minor panic attack. age does contribute to heart disease. old people get heart attacks more than younger people. but the main reason why people have heart attacks is stress. people get heart attacks at 30 though (SCC--CARY) over 70,000 Americans die from a heart attack each year.

  • One of the first things I learnt in A level biology is that you can have a heart attack at any age, you may have an undected CV disorder. Over 1000 people under 18 have a heart attack every year, including babies and toddlers.
