  • what's the deal of having big nails on the right hand?:-?

  • Both flamenco guitar and classical guitar require long nails on right hand fingers. Flamenco guitar needs the right hand pinky finger to have long nail as well where as in classical guitar the pinky finger is not used at all. Of course there is a lot more to it than I can explain in this small comment area. In a nutshell, nails, their shape and the smoothness of the nail are very critical to get a clean sound when playing classical and flamenco guitar. I hope this helps

  • All knowledge should be free? How about books and software then? And what is to motivate authors to write and teachers to teach and how are they to earn a living?

  • @Petey0707 my friend, this is a demo video, showing segments of a full lesson offered on his website. there are also beginners lessons .

this lesson obviously requires a certain comprehension of flamenco music and techniques.

as to the teaching method- as adam explains on the website, he teaches in the way that flamenco is traditionally taught; the teacher shows the student, and the student repeats, like the way a child learns a language.

    these lessons are higlhy recommended.

  • @RealGuitarules To me he plays flamenco very well [not a mess] I've been playing and listening to flamenco since 1960 you are entitled to your opinion and so am I

  • Narham123 sorry but if you think that you can class del monte to Paco or Tomatito class , you must be on some heavy drugs! I would say del monte is more like a Paco Peña clone but more payo!!! If you know what even means? But you probably don't .

  • somebody should tab this out

  • i do not have long fingernails but i play with the tips of my fingers. it sounds well enough. can't seem to keep the nails from breaking off at my job.(dishwashing the silverwear always ruins them and they snag every piece of clothing i wear)

  • @LSK100 makes it easier to pick the strings

  • @RealGuitarules U R being out of line. I've played flamenco for years & I can tell who is authentic flamenco player & who is not. To me Adam del Monte is an amazing musician in both flamenco & classical genres. If U don't like his music U R entitled to it, but u r being classless & U R insulting people. U R terrible. Why don't U put your videos on Utube & we see how close U come to Paco & Tomatito. So far the only one making mess of flamenco is U. Get a life!

  • @RealGuitarules excuse me but did i said any word about flamenco here? i just wondered if this adam's real channel. clarify ur point plz

  • @Moonbox1119 wow !8 years...and you still cant tell the difference with Flamenco and Adam del Monte????? Man you are a very slow learner....... Adam plays very nice classical pieces but he dedicates so much time to making a mess of Flamenco....
