Gretsch Drums product developers talk Gretsch in an informal round table setting. This is one in a series of videos where we explore the different line up of drums we have, how they are different and what they offer to todays drummers. Each member of the team is a talented drummer and brings their own vision in contributing to the innovation, quality and marketing of the Gretsch Brand.
The Renown Series is a great value kit for the drummer who wants that great Gretsch sound but might be on a tighter budget. Live or in the studio the drums deliver a great performance. The Renown Series is a very versatile drum kit and are used by many Gretsch endorsed artists in studio recordings and on national tours.
Nick Seiwert, Gretsch Percussion Parts Specialist, owns and plays the Renown. In this video you'll see him demonstrating the great sound of the Renown and giving his thoughts on the quality of the drums.

Hey guys, home run with the renowns. I fudged up and got rid of mine about a year ago and just got another kit. The 22x20 kicks you guys offer in those are amazing. I love my 22 13 16 setup I have. I love these drums. You guys definitely hit a home run here.

There impressive indeed. Seem to be made well , but what kind of maple shells are they exactly ? like who makes them and were to they come from ? USA ? Taiwan ?

I think it's great you're taking advantage of this medium to spread the word about these amazing instruments. Hannah LOVES her Renowns and gigged with them multiple times a week for 4 years until she started using her New Classics. The Renowns have now been retired to her studio and still look and sound wonderful.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at NAMM next week.
