I think he's being very careful. With a renowned leggero voice, it probably pays not to commit to repertoire that might be detrimental to the voice. I guess that's why he does not make bold assertions about what he could/might do.

It is impossible not to like him since he is so charming and seemingly nice. Evidently he does not speak French well enough to give an interview in the language. What he says in interviews is by now well known; he says the same things over and over again. Nothing wrong with this, but it would be nice to have a DVD giving us a picture of a "normal" day of his and what he does and how he amuses himself when he is not singing instead of another interview saying what he has often said before.
