  • Rakim,is simply a monster on the open-mic,He's the very best bar none,His flow and lyric's are unmatched period.!.Da_Super_Raw

  • this album did so much for hip hop. in 1988 hip hop took off because everyone, in anticipation for this album, stepped their game up to create their best albums yet, or at least everyone already making hip hop. i mean Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, Ice T, NWA, and so many more. both this album and Paid In Full are the reason hip hop is so famous today.

  • Ra ends the 1st verse of No Competition with: "Permanent damage,I do away with/No time for fun, cuz I dont play with/Competitors,theres only one when Im done..." He then starts verse 2 with: "Competition is none,Im the sole survivor!"

  • Greatest line ever: "I HOLD the microphone like a GRUDGE!"

  • This is da real s**t, they should play this to all aspiring djs and mcs. Sounded hot twenty years, even better now compared to the schmuck around now. Hip Hop arn't dead, it's just sleeping ..

  • This beat has withstood the test of time. One of the best ever
