Pioneer German Shepherds breeds sweet-tempered plush and long coat (long haired) German Shepherd Dogs that are oversized with a laidback temperament. Please note that our dogs are NOT Shiloh Shepherds but are distantly related, with larger size and less angulation than most GSD. Nor are they King Shepherds, however they are above average in size (some say king sized) with a large-boned structure. However, all are AKC German Shepherd Dogs. Puppies are whelped indoors and raised underfoot in our home with lots of love, occasionally available to select companion homes. A GSD is not a dog they are family.

You give the pups to the little kids and they will grow to be the best child you will ever have. How can I wright this without a tear?, I lost my Boy Jeff over Christmas.

I could walk him with my Girls out back and if a Deer jumped up and ran they never took there eyes off my girls.

When we had our babies they would stand watch over ther crib.

Give them Love thats all they need.

I had found a stray and turns out to be an Old Style German Shepard. He took kindly to our cat and will always walk by my side if someone strange comes by. My question is why would any one would want to let this beautiful animal go?

Thanks for doing this! Amazing dogs! Here in Hungary there are alot of GSD`s that are more straight and bigger than the "normal" american lines. They have a more straight back, taller, and a really nice temper. When I finish my M.D. here i will bring one home to Norway. =D

I've had GSDs as family members throughout my life. All had the normal straight backs. Went to an AKC show 10 yrs ago with my husband and kids just for something to do. We were horrified. The poor dogs looked pitiful to us. When they walked it looked crippled and even painful. It was so disturbing and sad we only stayed a few minutes. What they've done to the breed should be against the law. It's animal cruelty.

My GSD has the same (or very similar) lines as the 'old' style but yet her lines are from the newer look. Very well put video, it for sure made me think ^_^. I never have liked the newer GSD's I always thought that the way they stood looked painful and forced..

@AAAmar I don't know much about King Shepherds but I know that the Shiloh Shepherd was founded by a woman named Tina Barber and that she injected some Alaskan Malamute into the bloodlines of her German Shepherd stock to increase size, straighten the legs and produce a milder temperament. Czechoslovakia has used German Shepherds extensively and they produce sound, rather aggressive working lines, usually wolf-gray in color, but they are still purebred German Shepherds, not "Czech shepherds."
