In spite of all the embargoes etc imposed because they do not comply? - Maybe they have done pretty well! In universal social care and education? Compared to neighbouring impoverished Western dominated countries!! I admire old rail infrastructure that works! Takes plenty of TLC.

Not alot of warnings or signals at the crossing.I guess there werent a whole lot of signals in old soviet union either.Guess Fidel and Stalin want you to get hit by a train.

Este es el puente de Ranchuelo, tantas veces que hice escala en el, viajando en botella o "auto estop",recuerdo que en uno de mis viajes de (Habana-Holguín),pasamos por el como a las 4am y el chofer de la rastra,se da cuenta de que le falta una rueda por el golpe en los rieles del ferrocarril, esperamos unas horas pa' ir al central Ranchuelo y arreglarlo, dejamos el trailer a un costado de la carretera,pero cuando regresamos, le habían robado una rueda a este también!.
