We will look at a type of tree used for burials by Northwest Coast Indian peoples and learn why natives purposely set fire to the grasslands, plus view a few edible and useful plants.

  • I burn one of our pastures every year. By doing this the grass is growing much better. It also gets rid of bad insects and mould.

  • Great video Scott, never knew about that tree. Wasn't part of the field burning to burn out the brush and help the new sprouts which in turn brought out the game to eat the young sprouts?
