Hello Shapland Sensei. I seen you last at the Tesshinkan weekend training back in 2003. I came with Brant Sensei and a couple of others from our Dojo. I think it was Karen Sensei from Hope who sent me a CD of that time but it never did open and I've never seen the video footage contained within, but thank you again for the wonderful time we spent.
very nice perfomance. He clearly understands this kata.
Shinken Taira developed this kata en named it after his first name: Shinken Maezato.
I learned it from Kisho Inoue Hanshi in Utrecht (The Netherlands) about 6 years ago and before that from Wim van de Leur Shihan more than 10 years ago, who is my teacher.
If you can't find them let me know, my friend in the Philippines belongs to RyuKyu Kobudo Hozon Shinko Kai and makes them to specifications and at a very affordable price, can send to the US.
Very powerful hip movements! Teko are awesome. Thank you for sharing this on the intrawebz! :D

one can see a master here, hips low and level and good waist effort I 'm sure this kata can be armed or unarmed .

Those look like Higa hips. Very cool! I haven't done tekko for years. I'm inspired to resurrect this kata. Thanks so much for sharing.
