On 15 March 2011, over 100 Patriot Guard Riders gathered at Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington, VA to honor Frank W. Buckles, Corporal, US Army at Arlington National Cemetery. Mr. Buckles was the last American veteran of World War I.
In our tribute videos, we make every effort to avoid photos of the grieving family and the casket. Our tribute videos focus on behind-the-scene activities of men, women, and children who gather to honor, respect, and remember our Fallen Heroes and our veterans.
This video is intended to be a respectful tribute in honor of this WWI veteran.
Music (Public Domain):
"Duty, Honor, Country," US Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus;
"America," US Army Brass Quintet;
"Garry Owen," US Army Strings
"Taps," US Army Band.

I have never been as touched as I was after watching this amazing video. Whoever put it together, THANK YOU. Mr Buckles was an American hero in my book and he deserved the best full Military Funeral America could offer. I was sad to learn he could not lie in state at the State Capitol Rotunda - but from what I have read and the video clips I have seen - this man went out in a blaze of Glory and Honor.
Rest in Peace Mr Buckles and thank you Patriot Guard Riders and all VETS.
God Bless you all!
