228國家紀念館的承諾仍待實現!(2008.10.15)
National Taiwan 228 Memorial Museum was dedicated on February 28, 2007 by President Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁), sixty years after the Taiwan 228 Massacre. One year later, during the 2008 presidential election, KMT-nominated presidential candidate Ma Ying-jeou did not even acknowledge the existence of this already dedicated national memorial museum - he said "I will support the materialization of a national Taiwan 228 Memorial Museum, if I could be elected!"
Now five months have elapsed since Ma became the president of Taiwan ROC Regime, the remodelling work of the National Taiwan 228 Memorial Museum supervised by the ROC government come to a halt! Ma after winning the 2008 president election has never mentioned again the construction of a National Taiwan 228 Memorial Museum he promised during the election, neither has he ordered the continuing support of remodelling work of the already dedicated memorial museum.
Taiwan 228 Massacre in 1947 took place one year after General Douglas MacArthur issued an order to Chiang Kai-shek (of the ROC Regime of China) to send representatives to Taiwan and accept the surrender of Japan forces left on Taiwan, then a part of Japan territory. About 18,000 innocent Taiwan civilians were butchered during the 228 Massacre. So far the KMT Party has never repaid any penny to the victims' families and still continues to distort and cover up the history of this 228 Massacre!
Ma Ying-jeou-led governing group even made untrue documentary film to distort the history! Ma has openly commented that the 228 Massacre was simply an "uprising" - apparently Ma attempted to cover up the brutal jailing/killing of many Taiwan innocent civilians (especailly local civilian leaders) planned and orderd by the KMT Party-led ROC Regime in 1947. Why did KMT purposely butcher thousands of innocent Taiwan local civilians and leaders? The answer is plain and simple: the fleeing KMT Party Regime from China wished to forever rule Taiwan and maintain their supremacy on this foreign island - Formosa.
