Would children today still enjoy this? The song seems over long and the puppet seems to be flying rather than touching the ground. Also her lips don't move. This could be much better.

This was my favourite song when I was young. I dont suppose babies really look out for how well made a puppet is, as they don't know any better. There are plenty of cartoon programmes that will always remain my favourite as they were special to me in my childhood. So stop analysing it and enjoy it if it was special in your childhood too :)
