Im just saying good/great teams have a bad half or a injury. Look at the 1974-75 Hoosiers team, undefeated and a better team then the 75-76 team without May going into the tournament.

@SFFOOL76 - What? The '87 Rebels were supposed to be rough and tough but the Hoosiers handled them rather easy, if you watch the whole game. I think the '87 Hoosiers could have hung with the '91 Rebels too.

@jeffnfoxylady1 They didn't blow Duke away in '91 did they? Hey furthermore IU & Duke players graduated you sure didn't see any rules broken under Coach K or Bob Knight. They were just as good as Tarkanian teams and succeeded honestly.

@SFFOOL76 Well the '92l IU team hung on with Duke in '92 semi-finals didn't they? The same Duke team that beat '91 UNLV the year before? The '81 IU team was far better once it got in the groove then the '92 & '93 IU teams . I would also venture to say several of the UCLA teams and the '76 IU team could have hung with them.

@SFFOOL76 Granted we will never know for sure, this is nothing more than fun debate. I think UNLV would have had tough time stopping Landon Turner and Isiah. Bobby Knight did a masterful coaching job. I think we can both agree that Butler would not have been able to hang tough with the UNLV teams or that IU team the way they took Duke to the wire. Cigarettes here are almost $9 pack. Smoking worse for your wallet than your health in my state. Thanks for your time, best wishes.
