Timelapse of a whole line of supercell thunderstorms near Independence, KS on 01 May 2008. We were positioned some distance east of the southern tip of the line, which had been forced by a strong southerly low-level jet hitting a SW-NE oriented boundary. Both CAPE and shear were pretty impressive that evening, but noteworthy tornadoes did not occur. Note the several cycles of the left updraft. Visibility was not too good, so the contrast is meager.
Great video of a powerful core updraft...very nice.

No comments? I'm surprised as it's great footage.
