Great movie! Great book! So glad Octavia Spencer won an Oscar for her role as Minny. As much as I love to watch Meryll Streep, I really wish Viola Davis would have won for her role as Abileen. The entire cast was fabulous.

Anyway, the woman, who said "Hey Minny", if she would have waited and trusted in God patiently, He would have gotten her son into that school if that was his plan for him. She did not have to steal. She was wrong, and that is why she got arrested and spent time in jail at the end. She would have gotten some money for the book that Skeeter wrote because there were so many maids including her that would have gotten royalties.
