@y34r 25 here, and I vaguely remember my dad renting this for me and the opening sequence scaring the hell out of me :-p For years, I could NEVER remember the name of the game! Just this opening scene. Recently, a co-worker was talking about old video games and showed me this... needless to say, I freaked out, saying "THAT'S IT! THAT'S THE GAME! FINALLY!" :-p Little did I know it was based on Mr. Vampire.

This is what I was thinking when I first saw this game's intro at around 9.

When I think of obscure , unappreciated and awesome NES games...Phantom Fighter usually tops my list.  It hasn't aged well but still holds a place in my heart.
