"Mrs.Amirthalingam teturns home due to the peaceful situation" Sinhala News 15.06.2010

The wife and children of A. Amirthalingam who was a victim of an LTTE attack in 1989, return home.

With the murder of Amirthalingam, his wife and children left Sri Lanka and settled down in England. Mrs. Amirthalingam said they have again returned to Sri Lanka following the peaceful environment prevailing in the country.

Mrs. Amirthalingam said that the Tamil people have suffered a lot. They sacrificed their lives for no reason. Those people will bow down to the President if their rights are accorded for them to live peacefully. She said the President can do more to the people who suffered all these days. He can pacify all the people, that is for all the communities to live in a peaceful environment and giving the rights of the Tamil people as well as the other communities. She pointed out that she is proud of being a Sri Lankan. She added that she loved the country and the people should live in harmony.
