She's glorious. Despite whatever differences, for me sopranos like Callas, Tebaldi, Milanov and Zeani were old school voices were taught to sing in a forward, strong manner. They came closer and in Callas' case were full dramatic sopranos, even voices suited to Wagner), but also able to sing fine delicate roles like Violetta or coloratura roles in the bel canto genre. For Violetta I prefer a light lyric. Tebaldi was magnificent in her own right. I love both Callas & Tebaldi.

Anyone who feels this voice is bland has a cognitive disorder.

" A rare musician with the most beautiful voice I've ever heard." That really says it all - thanks Orfeus!
Woow ! ...really impressed ! :) some slight veristic excesses aside, I don't think people who say she is bland have any idea of what they are talking about.

This is the best Violetta's death I've ever heard. The only one really moved me (including other Tebaldi recordings...)
