Here's some classic animation for ya. I had to do a walk cycle for school a while back and chose to do Charlie Chaplin. A walk cycle is basically a reference as to how a character would walk. For this one i only used about 30 sheets of paper. That's technical about a second of video so I looped it to give the illusion of walking. My thoughts on this old school way of animation? I like the look and feel of it but do not like the amount of time it takes to do it. Plus you'll seriously spend a ton of money on paper. An not to mention, you'll get a bunch of crap from the "Go Green" people. I'll stick to Flash. But it does help to know how to animate this way! So if you think you'll get into animation, study the classics! Class dismissed ;-)
@lokiroki8 Hi there, i borrowed a bunch of Chaplin videos from the library but got most of the solid movements from the that Robert Downey Jr. movie, Chaplin. I exaggerated the movements a bit to make it a little funnier. Turns out, most of the movements Chaplin was showing was coming from his costume! Go fig... thanks for watching!

where did you come across the reference for it? did you just watch movies with him or did you find the breakdown online.
