Ingrid Bergman' s Emmy for GOLDA

Ingrid Bergman won an Emmy for her performance in the TV movie A Woman Called Golda. It was given to her posthumously, so it was her daughter, Pia, who collected it in Miss Bergman's name.

She will live in our heart forever.

Gosh - a wonderful film, about a wonderful woman portrayed by a wonderful woman. This was the first Bergman performance I ever saw (9 years old) in the golden-age of mini-series and my dad was dating a woman named Ingrid Burgun at the time and I insisted that this was the woman he was dating (I hadn't met her) - My grandmother just smiled and kept insisting that she was sure it was "not this Ingrid Bergman."

I think this is one of her best roles ever! I admire her very much, because she was very brave. Even though she had cancer, she was able to film this motion picture, and she was fabulous! A great actress!

I remember watching this Emmy ceremony with my Aunt. After Ingrid had won, my Aunt stood up (with the tv audience) and gave a rousing standing ovation.
