Where to begin? The last part of this video particularly ripped my soul apart. I have read all of the classic works Stephanie Mayer got "inspired" from and blaming her mediocre attempts at writing on these wonderful geniuses is an insult to literature itself. I know all you petty girls will ask why then am i taking time to watch this and comment, my answer: because I want to. Because as a person who loves literature and good one at that, I cannot keep quiet will this woman ridicules these pieces

I suppose I'm finished. All I could say about her Mid-Summer Night's Dream reference is: this woman does not know the first thing about Shakespeare but I already established that. I do hope these books fade out soon enough. Part of me can't wait to see what else she writes in the future and what other classics she alludes to to make herself seem intelligent which she clearly is not. Perhaps a "Jacob Black is like Holden Caulfield because they both...have fathers" or something stupid of the sort.

I don't even care if her books are "classic" because even some classics suck. Take for example Oh Pioneers. It's only a classic because 1) It was written by a woman at a time when there weren't that many female authors 2) It uses a lot of flowery language. People seem to think that just because you have a PhD in English you suddenly have better taste than everyone else, and just because something is canonized as a "classic" it is suddenly above criticism.

I can kind of see some of the classic inspiration she's claiming, but I'm having trouble drawing a line between Eclipse and Wuthering Heights.

GREATEST TWILIGHT COMMENT EVER, comparing Meyer's books to classic literature is SACRILAGE. It's like comparing Wal-Mart to Chanel.
