I was on that 'niggas is bitter, niggas need to get off his lap' shit too. But the reality is, Jay wasn't gonna become that same ol story statistic: dude makes it out only to make dumb moves and take a fall. So he removed any and all who he thought would either pull him back or who he couldn't control. He can't control DeHaven or Klein cause those dudes OG's who he 'rick rosses' his 'street life' on.
