No but Mark has deployed and truly sacrificed for his country, unlike all these boots, poolies and cadets. cadets are glorified college students, Mark is a Recon Marine and Combat veteran, definitely a better representative of the military life and far more deserving.

You're saying that a Marine who has gone into combat, fought, and stared death in the face is less qualified than a cadet who isn't even in the military? I don't even know what to say to that. That's insane.

Hell, I'm a pogue and I'd consider myself more eligible than a cadet. Until you get rank on your collar, (real rank, not pretend ROTC rank) you have absolutely no right to consider yourself a member of the military. Period.

Not sure I follow, you. Although I am very thankful for the service of our troops and respect them greatly, I don't see how it makes any him more qualified than a cadet. Yes a Purple Heart is a great accomplishment, but it's not the Dark Ages anymore, being the best warrior doesn't make you the most qualified to take Lexi to prom.
