Mayan Culture, Aztecs Culture, Native American Cherokees are all different cultures but maybe similar in costumes..they were all here around the same time... there is only 2 genes in our body that makes our different Hair and skin color that's it.. but we all share the same similar genes.... Only differences is " Culture". I respect all Cultures.

From my point of view, they have abandoned their own culture to be accepted by whites. They are conforming to what whites wants "Indians" to look like.

O....and the reason i say they look ancient in attire is because im 100% native n my tribal peeps do not dress like this =) LOL but still....i appreciate the talent and music!!! =)

@Eagle027 as a fellow native myself i will never abandon my culture for white ppl the verry thing that killed 98% of my ppl and are still doing it to this day makes us look like we are drunks and all drug users but not all native ppl are and to make it fair every one does.and to do what whites want will never happen for me so dont stereo type us we are ppl and live free so we could look like whatever we want.

Instead of separating ourselves from other people, we should see the similarities that make us all part of the HUMAN RACE and be more brotherly with people of any part of the world. After all society already separate us, why make easy for them.

@vote4pedro09 I always thought that it was the other way around; people confused all Native tribes into one race! Why do you think majority of non-Natives think that we all live in tipi's and wear buckskin rags and warbonnets? It's just like saying all Asian people are the same when they're not. Koreans are totally different than Indonesians in every way. Just like Cree's look totally different than Mapuche's, and their languages and cultures are waaay different too!

@vote4pedro09 I see your point. But they have their own tribal heritage & culture to preserve, just like I have to help preserve Wazhazhi, Pani, Ndee, & Tsoyaha culture/languages. They are just like us North American tribes when it comes to preserving our unique cultures/languages/traditions/­etc- what makes us Dine, Osage, Sicangu, Kuna, Maya, Mapuche, etc- from dying out.
