Physicist Fred Wolf speculates on the nature of human consciousness, its relationship to the brain and to the world of dreaming. In this highly entertaining program, he presents evidence suggesting that the world of dreams is ontologically real, discussing the "dreamtime" of the Australian aborigines, evidence for dream telepathy and the different levels of lucid dreaming.

Fred Alan Wolf, Ph.D., received the American Book Award in science for Taking the Quantum Leap. He is also author of The Eagle's Quest, The Dreaming Universe and The Spiritual Universe.

  • About five hours before the planes truck the two towers in New York on Sept 11, 2001, I was dreaming. In the dream, I was in a urban area, in an abandoned street....it got dark, I heard a loud roaring sound, then I had to run to escape from a cloud of something coming down the street my way.....then I woke up

In 1927 J.W. Dunne wrote "An Experiment with Time" where he concluded that dreams borrowed equally from the recent past and the recent future.

  • The Thinking Allowed series was aired variously on over 120 U.S. and Canadian public television stations from 1988 through 2002.

  • we can now, we just need to believe it 100%

  • This is very interesting and believable.. Just because this seems so far out there it doesn'tmean it's not true. This reality is just like lucid dream but the manifestation time is alot longer, and also because most of us have forgotten how to do this. But manifesting things physically dos't seem implausible to me at all... `in fact i believe we will all be able to this and much much more in the not so far future!

  • @JustForBrieLarson Check out David Chalmers, too.

  • intresting. wow. Have you had other experiences? That day at 6 AM ( a few hours before the event)...i had dreams of angels singing in a blue sky prayers of protection. I would say I dream about angels a few times a year, but not often.

  • Everything are created by our subconsciousness mind(our intention)so the universe. It was Budda teach us three thousand years ago. We are all affected by the nature law which is cause by the conditional causation.(cause and affect)and it have a boundry. "reincarnation" "karma" is known as the law of cause and effect and plays a central role in determining how one's life should be lived.Transmigration is the effect of karma or volitional action.Reincarnation is due to the law of cause and effect.

  • It like you are dreaming. In the dream you see many of object, e.g. mountain, river, people (some people you know or some you don't) all surrounding in your "dream" is make it by yourself. So, it is all part of you and you make them so real, even your feeling in your dream are so real. Sometime you will cry or laugh until you woke up. Who created that "dream"? You and your "dream" are one. Everything inside the "dream" is part of you and you created your "dream". Amitabha
