Bill Wineland, Water Patrol Officer and Susan Stocker, Boating Education Coordinator with the Iowa DNR with some tips to have a safe and fun boating season. While boating always wear your life jacket. Remember it can't save you if you don't wear it. Children 12 and under are required to wear a lifejacket while boating. Everyone on the boat should have a properly fitted lifejacket. Make sure the label matches the wearer. Make sure the lifejacket is in good working condition. With these tips and more you can have a safe and fun boating season. www.iowadnr.gov
