Menchville High School FIRST Robotics Team - MADExpo

At MADExpo 2011, I met up with the Menchville High School ( http://mville.nn.k12.va.us/ ) FIRST Robotics team. Their robot is GREAT! The students were also great fun to talk with: articulate, intelligent, motivated, and people who were really enjoying themselves.

3500 dollars. thats a lot of money.

@fliminthebox On the surface, yes. But, it really depends. If you're buying a car, it's not a lot of money. If you're building a $10,000 competition robot, it certainly helps, but the kids had to raise a LOT more. Motors and electronics for these high speed/torque robots are really expensive.

my school only does crappy TSA stuff. I wish they supported these things. These are brilliant kids! thanks for a great video
