Arnold Schönberg's Pierrot Lunaire op. 21 Dirigent Pieter van der Wulp, Ensemble 88, sopraan Bauwien van der Meer. Deel 1, 01. Mondestrunken. 21 delen in drieen. Live opgenomen in de Kopermolen in Vaals. Regisratie en producite: Alphamotions.
This is one of the most evocative and influential works by Schoenberg. The voice performs what is called "sprechgesang", a technique between speaking and singing. Albeit perhaps not to everybody's taste, it perfectly matches the hallucinatory and provocative texts of the poems. Strawinsky used similar techniques for choir in his Requiem Canticles and Berio in his Sequenza for voice. It contrasts the delicate instrumental aspect of the music, which is extremely varied for such a small ensemble.
I sang this piece in a heavy mental music concert when i was 22-year-old, and the rest of my songs are Rammstein(I am a man). when i was singing Pieter my stupid classmate said "WOW, Rammstein is so deep!"

@ThyGameIsDeception It's called Sprechistimme, and it's a technique that's half speaking and half singing. It was developed by Shoenberg.
...But I still think this is terrible.

I guess it's my lack of education, but I can't quite understand the concept for this type of 'singing' :/
