GemRB Baldur's Gate 2 on on Nokia N810

First build of GemRB; Open-SourceBioware Infinity Engine (tm) svb build 2008.01.24 on Maemo / IT OS2008 running on Nokia N810.

Performance demo. Note walking animations and menus running at good speed.

Sorry about the blurry picture; The camera can't focus well in movie mode.

Test shows load times, scrolling speed, and general UI. Bugs shown include: character getting stuck, keyboard input not working (in this run), heal spell can't be cast on player portrait, cure light wounds potion healing all HP.

Mouse control is with synergy from PC mouse. Music is Fila Brazilia. Download other Nokia Internet Tablet sdl games and emulators at http://pupnik.de

Soundtrack Information contained in the video description. It's Fila Brazilia. I've forgotten the track title - maybe Leonids. Or something from A Touch of Cloth. If you're into good chillout, you should really buy some Fila Brazilia.

and what does it need to run this game on a 810?

btw i'm not familiar with linux and it's distributions or those de-un-in-whatever-compiling procedures , drag'n'drop/plug'n'play that's what I'm used to. :D

The port works fairly well. We now have sound working.

Engine has been under development for years and still needs some major features (leveling up, for e.g.) lynxlynxlynx is working steadily at it, but the project could use some energetic new talent. If you love D&D and know some python, stop by #gemrb on freenode irc.

Updates on the port to the tablets are in internettablettalk gaming forums.

You need 640x480 and linux to run Gemrb. I just hope it keeps making progress. There are some major things missing, like leveling-up.

Oh my God. If you get this to run on the N900 then I will be forever ever ever thankful and the happiest person alive. It's the best game of all time, I'm getting the N900 delivered before this year ends hopefully, and ... I'm speechless. Keep it up, I'll help out any way I can.
