Rose Bliss (With Music by Ginmillsinger Bill)

The grass still needs cutting, the shrubs still need trimming, but the roses are blooming....
Sincere appreciation to ginmillsinger (Bill) for creating and performing music to go with my poem! That was such a nice thing to do! ;)

Warm silk and smooth satin,
soft petals on skin,
Gold sunlight, pink blossoms,
blue sky, gentle wind,
Tincture of orris,
sweet-scented clove tea,
Come sit here beside me,
share rose bliss with me.

April's for promises,
hopes, plans and schemes,
And May offers glimpses
of paradise dreams.
But spring is too short,
soon it's faded and gone,
Like love that's lost passion,
or dreams that end wrong.

I savor my springtime,
not wasting a day,
Picking baskets of roses
and putting away
Fragrant blossoms for days
when the flowers won't bloom,
So I can remember spring's
sweet rose perfume.

Come pick some roses,
come see for yourself
My garden of riches,
my measure of wealth.
I'll share some with you,
give my treasure for free,
And then we'll each have
our own spring memory.
