This album brings back great memories. I took up the tenor saxophone in high school and had this and just about every Hawkns and Getz album available. I studied with Chicago Jazz saxophonist Joe Dailey, at his home near Clark and Wilson. His best known student was John Klemmer. I was never very good, but I still play 40 years later, and I'm still tryin to get that Hawkins sound. Rest in Peace and thanks for the great music Hawk.
