Thank you so much!!!! We are remodeling our bathroom completely on our own and the scary part was the texture. We aren't that great at taping. Anyway, we found your video and used your technique with me "handpainting" and dappling with my finger tips, and my husband following with the trowel. It was so easy, and it looks terrific!!! Thanks again. You need to be on HGTV with a do-it-yourself show!

Can you put that drywall compound on a plywood wall?, say to get a stucco look and function?

I am in the exact same situation. The wallpaper was glued directly to the drywall with no priming or even a skim coat of mud in between. A hot mess! I'd love to have your final pictures to see what I'm aiming for. I will probably need to do the whole room this way, and it is quite large. I was in dispair, but now I feel much better.

I live in an old New York apartment & have been searching for a way to texture my walls in a simple manner --- you are my HERO!!!! Thank you

yes...close mouth. Tastes terrible!
Like the application via hands and soft stroke with large putty knife. I did something similar on plaster using a wide brush, pressed netting onto wall, brushed, then took netting off. Looked good. (sorry...a bit of bragging) I have an easier time of it than you, I think. You're about 5'10"?
At 6'5" and an eight and a half inch reach, all my friends ask for my help when painting.
Nice video, and, you can put your dot com in the description.
Thanx!

Thanks for the great idea and advice. Would I use a different type of compound for high moisture area - ie, bathroom?
You mentioned you have a website? I've been looking for it. Great video (better lighting?)

Yes, I like the Green Lid compound from home depot, Lowes, Dries slower so it is easier to fix mistakes...
