It was so hot and the dust stuck in the back of the throat - the noise said it all constant, loud and angry but that was to the untrained ear. Reality was that the chatter was good natured and the market people were so laid back. When we got back to the hotel there was the sound of laughter and a twelve string guitar in the room across the hallway. Later a voice, falsetto and sweet, jamming and the sound of a tamborine - i spoke to one of the guys next morning in the lobby - his name was Brian and he was trying to find his voice again, he said. i knew his face but it took a while to place him, it clicked later that afternoon - when i heard him singing Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)..................
