Debut single of former All Angels choir member Laura Wright, released on the 25th July 2011

The lyrics originate from an Irish poem written by Thomas Moore in 1805:

"'Tis the last rose of summer
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
To give sigh for sigh.

I'll not leave thee, thou lone one!
To pine on the stem;
Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go, sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter,
Thy leaves o'er the bed,
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.

So soon may I follow,
When friendships decay,
From Love's shining circle
The gems drop away.
When true hearts lie withered
And fond ones are flown,
Oh! who would inhabit,
This bleak world alone?"

  • Really nice voice and collection of songs.

    I also like the picture of the English summer countryside in the background. It makes me want to get away from the concrete city and just relax and enjoy listerning to her voice in the fields of the countryside. Music for an summers afternoon.

  • Crazy English summer

  • very beautiful.

  • She sings like an angel and she looks like an angel... ♫♫♫♫♫

  • I'm glad she's going solo. She was my favorite member of All Angels.

  • This is lovely :)

  • I love her I wish she would do a duet with Gianluca Paganelli

  • She is certainly a budding young artist! Wonderfully done!

  • So the picture is taken in England. Where is she from? Wonderful soft timber to her voice, and quite a range. Beautiful voice.

  • she's so good

  • I HAVE listened to this all day.
