  • @Yellowband1 Talk to an optometrist - learn about the different types of ultraviolet radiation. Oakley's Plutonite lens blocks UVC, which is already blocked by the ozone layer. Meaning - it is entirely pointless until the ozone layer is gone. Its marketing. That is what Oakley does best. They sell you a pair of sunglasses that cost them pennies on the dollar to manufacture, with pointless features.

  • Nice !!!

  • where can i find a "O Lab" at? i'm not too fond of the Oakley sunglasses, but i would like to test my Maui Jims on the clarity tests too. As some one said, this may be a multi million dollar sales ad, but i want to see 'higher end' glasses being compared...

i do applaud Oakley for the research and development on the projectile protection. A little over the top, but they are prepared for a 500 mg projectile.

  • whats the name of the first ones he held the matte black ones.

  • @samsiteone, except oakley has patents. thats why oakley filed a lawsuit with nike...

  • I hate when a 500 mg projectile hits me thank god for oakleys!!

  • Oakley lenses are made of a material they call plutonite. The reason that Oakley lenses scratch so easily is that plutonite is a much more soft material that cr39 or plastic or polycarbonate or glass. Although they are super soft compared to competitors, plutonite lenses are super impact resistant and reasonably clear. I have worked with eyewear for longer that the guy in this video has been alive and the one thing I know is that the rolling o lab is nothing more that a multi million dollar sal

  • All right to all the genius' who are saying, "Does Oakley make the lense scratch easily to make money?" No they really dont, they scratch when a ball bearing is shot at the lense at 102 mph, and when a 500 gram spike is dropped from 4 feet on to the lense. Oakleys are extrememly durable and don't break. I can garuntee you that your eyesight is worth the 70 buck for a new lense/lenses (depending on the model.) So, until you know what the fuck your talking about shut the fuck up.

  • @samsiteone they dont have the equipment or the brains to copy it
