  • @siratutiy These photos were taken by my father who was in Japan in Beppu in 1946. He died in 1991 so I can not ask him about the people in the photos. He was assigned to the Red Cross which operated the club (American Red Cross Service Club) which is shown in the video at 1:05. I will try to post more photos, but it will take time becasue they have to be digitally scanned and then digitally restored.

  • It was still much like this when we arrived in the early 50's. We had a wonderful year while stationed here with the Army. Thanks.
